Welcome to La Jolla Figure Skating Club
Since our founding, the La Jolla Figure Skating Club (LJFSC) has served as a cornerstone of the San Diego skating community. Located in the heart of the Westfield UTC Shopping Center, we provide a dedicated space where athletes of all ages can pursue their passion on the ice. As a proud non-profit member of U.S. Figure Skating, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment that balances technical excellence with a genuine sense of belonging.
Our club serves as a bridge for skaters transitioning from basic lessons to competitive mastery. We are honored to call the UTC Ice Sports Center our official home rink, offering our members a world-class facility to train, grow, and connect. Whether you are a young skater taking your first steps toward a dream, an adult returnee rediscovering the joy of the sport, or a high-level competitor preparing for the national stage, LJFSC is here to support every glide of your journey.
Supporting our Skaters
Fostering excellence at every stage of the journey
We provide a welcoming environment for everyone, from those taking their first steps on the ice to seasoned competitors. Through our annual membership drive every June, we help skaters register for U.S. Figure Skating competitions nationwide.
Coordinate Testing
Expert-Led and Supportive
We supervise both virtual and in-person testing for Moves in the Field, Freeskate, and other categories. These evaluations are essential for determining competitive levels and helping skaters reach their personal goals.
Build Community
Encouraging and Welcoming
We foster camaraderie by hosting signature events like the La Jolla Open Championships (a non-qualifying competition) and Skate By the Sea, a fun event for various skill levels.

LJFSC is a separate non-profit organization. The club does not own or manage the UTC Ice Sports Center, its skate school, coaches, or its individual programs.
